“I’m reclaiming my time.” – US Representative Maxine Waters
Hey there, friends! I am Alexas, a GenZ blogger who creates conversations about life and its peculiar hiccups in a personal and realistic way.
I identify as a cisgender Black woman (not African- American) from Atlanta but I’m currently kicking my feet up in Oklahoma.
Too many times in life, black women’s gifts, talents, and strengths are silenced and overly ignored. But now, it’s time that the conversation begins and I am taking part in that movement. As an advocate for education, the arts, personal health, and self-sufficiency, I believe that it is important that everyone sees what it means to be Black in every aspect: spirituality, education, the workforce, personal battles and so much more. This blog isn’t for fun — this is a necessity for the forward movement of Black folk everywhere but especially the Black woman.
