Imagine a life where you’re talking, but nobody hears you. You’re pressing forward but it seems like you just keep getting knocked back further. You’re staying the straight and narrow path, but you are repeatedly criticized and investigated.
Welcome to my life as Generation Z, black and female. I am trying to navigate the world with her own perspectives, stories and beliefs, while fighting against racism, ageism, sexism (just to name a few). I firmly believe that the most underapprerciated individual in any society is the black woman and I’m here to tell my story and a couple of friends’ stories along the way.
They say communication is key, but there are less people listening to understand than to respond. It’s time that real life is captured in real stories, no matter what.
